Greenies Dog Chews Are Killing Dogs
The word is spreading! One of our readers and friends, Deb Miller sent me several great links for you all to look at. Many, many people are sharing their stories about greenies deaths or near death experiences.

A KIRO 7 Consumer Investigation exposes a potentially deadly problem involving one of the most popular dog treats on the market.

Millions of dogs chew on the treats every day, and there's a good chance your pooch is one of them. Consumer Investigator Wayne Havrelly discovered the danger.

These dog treats are called "Greenies." They're sold in stores everywhere. Read the whole story and view the video that aired Here: http://www.kirotv.com/investigations/5325021/detail.html

Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue wanted to put out the warning of what greenies can do to pugs. On August 6th 2005 one of our rescues died after eating a greenie. They get very gooey when chewed or swallowed, and it occluded his intestines causing him to bloat and then hemorrhage.

Please join us in Boycotting Greenies and other products made by S&M Nutec. Also please send your thoughts and concerns to the manufacture. http://www.midatlanticpugrescue.org/greenies.html

I will post more links and articles as I get them. Meanwhile, ARM YOURSELF WITH KNOWLEDGE- THINK TWICE ABOUT THESE "TREATS" THAT HAVE PROVED DEADLY FOR MANY DOGS.

Cat treats that Greenies offer are like regular dry cat food. Your post shouldn't have been posted with such non-true accounts. I am sorry to hear of your loss but I don't think to trash a product to get attention is just sad.

To all cat lovers,
I read the article in newsday on Dec 19 05 about Micheal and Jennifer Eastwoods experience and was devestated . I buried my cat Kato on dec 8 after reading the article I am sure It was the greenies that killed him. He was fine until mid september when I bought a bag of feline greenies. I gave them to him for a week and a half he was eating them to quickly so i said to my cat I am not going to give you these any more if you eat them like that! Never knowing that I was feeding him something DEADLY> Well, about a week or so later all his problems began. I visited numerous vets each time starting kato's long story with he was fine until I gave hime these treats called greenies. I am sure each one of them would have loved to get to the bottom of his issues but since the greenies people decided to keep any dangers a secret to the best of their abilities he was not able to be saved. These "treats " need to be removed from the market completely . I would love to hear from anyone with ideas. Alana
