Advanced Training, Forums & Resources
In case I have not expressed it fully, I absolutely L-O-V-E the
Quikonnex community. The founders and founding publishers are
all first-rate. You will find extensive documentation and
assistance by opening your QuikView panel and logging on to
the QMember/Publisher Area. New menu items are added occasionally.
The current selections are explained briefly below.
Documentation/Forums:
All Forums - which takes you to the main community
forum page. You can search for a particular
keyword or phrase to find help topics and
discussion threads on those topics. This is
good way, also, to network with other Quikonnex
Members and help other members begin to recognize
you. (Note: In the search operation, you can
narrow your search to a specific topic or area
of the forum or from the "All Forums" default.
Using Our Forums - provides instructions on the use
of the various Quikonnex Forums.
Recommended Apps - provides recommendations from
Quikonnex related to software and helpful
utilities.
Discussion Board - takes you to the main discussion
area of the Quikonnex Community Forum
Documentation - contains links to specific help topics
Tools & Training Videos:
- Pop-up tools such as:
WYSIWYG (html creator/editor)
HTML Tags (common HTML code tags)
HEX Color (VisiBone color hexidecimal code pop-up)
- Videos including:
w.bloggar help and TypeItIn help
Support / Contact
- Conferences and Workshops
The awesome founders and staff of Quikonnex provide
Yahoo Chat conferences where you can receive training,
network with other QMembers and make recommendations
on Quikonnex upgrades/features. At present, there are
weekly publisher-only meetings and web conference
training sessions. Check under this menu item for
current schedules.
- Live Support
Here you can chat live with Quikonnex staff members who
are intimately familiar with Quikonnex. In fact,
you most frequently get to chat with the founders
of Quikonnex, Jim Gray and Carolyn Peltier. You
won't get some outsourced staff who has no clue and
gives you the old, "I'll get back to you" spiel.
- Send a QMTP
Since the QSupport staff can't be online 24/7 right
now, you can use this link to send a QMTP message for
support. This is especially useful for those non-critical
items and requests that you invariably think of on the
weekend.
Other Publishers
In addition to the menu items and forum topics, don't forget that
there are dozens of founding publishers who can help with just about
any problem you run into. One way you can find other publishers when
you're just starting out is by going to the Channel Viewer & Bookmarks
page....
- Open your QuikView panel and select Channel Viewer & Bookmarks from
the dropdown list. Logon with your QuikView ID (email address)
and password.
- Click the QChannel Search and Listing and Search
This will give you the full channel directory. You can browse
through this list or....
- Use the search box where you can enter a keyword or phrase to find
channels of interest. You can even enter a
- Click on a link and check the sidebar (right-hand side of the window)
for a QMTP link. Be sure to include your QMTP information so the
publisher can reach you. Enter your message and click SUBMIT to
send the transaction.
Folks, I can't stress enough how very important all of these features
are. These are the things that set Quikonnex apart from all of those
free RSS and blog sites. Yes, you can syndicate with those sites, but
how much do you have time to learn? Do you want to spend your time
learning techie language, or do you want to do what you need to do and
sell your item, product or service? You don't have to sit around and
wonder how to do something. Go to the aforementioned tools and resources
and GET MOVING!!
