Accessing Qsearch

Looking for other Quikonnex channels? Want to find that article you were reading but not sure where you saw it? Wonder what our Publishers have to say about a certain topic? Qsearch is the answer.

It searches just like Google! You can use full or partial keywords, or phrases as your search criteria. You can also wrap phrases in quotes for an exact phrase search. Qsearch handles multiple word search using the AND, OR, NOT boolean search terms.

Qsearch is our internal search engine which accesses the entire Quikonnex database and can display the results to your queries in a unique in-frame, full-read, media-rich venue. Just enter your search criteria in the search box and click the Qsearch button.

Your results will be displayed in the right pane of your browser window, similar to the screen shot shown below.



The default presentation of search results in Qsearch is the media-rich tab, as you see above. Each item which matches your search is displayed with full-media contents. Below each item is the name of the channel in which it was published, plus subscriber links so that you can immediately subscribe to any channels of interest.

Using Qsearch

There are three tabs in the upper portion of the Qsearch page, as you will see in the screen shot below.



1)   View Results with Media   Click this tab to have your search results returned in full media format. This is the default when executing a search from QuikView. The item title is a link to the item on the Publishers channel as is the channel name. In addition, subscriber links are provided so that you can immediately subscribe to any channels of interest.

2)   View Results as Listing   Click this tab to have your search results returned in a list format. For each result you will see the name of the item and the name of the channel in which it was published, both of which are links to that channel. Subscriber links are also provided with each entry to allow you to subscribe immediately to information you want.

3)   All Channel Listing   Click this tab to view an alphabetical list of all of the channels published by Quikonnex Publishers. Each channel name is a link to that channel, and subscriber links are also available on this page for every channel.
